In spite of the striking success, the group members, including Beyonce, decided to launch a solo career. In 2001, Destiny's child earned two Grammys for the single « Say My Name». The girl group had a great success, their songs became known throughout the world. Later, the group changed its members and name for Destiny's child. Another four girls, apart from Rowland, were taken to the group. One of the members was a distant relative Kelly Rowland. Beyonce’s father, seeing the talent of his daughter, decided that a girl group would be more successful and organized an audition. At the age of 6 Beyonce won a school song contest.
